Attorney Cunningham is the managing partner at Jackson O’Keefe. Attorney Cunningham grew up in Ellington and currently resides in Simsbury.  Attorney Cunningham handles personal injury and litigation matters throughout the State of Connecticut, including clients in the towns of Ellington, Tolland, West Hartford, Farmington, Avon, Simsbury, and clients in New Haven County, Middlesex County, New London County, and Litchfield County.

Attorney Cunningham is a member of the Abigail Phelps Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The Daughters of the American Revolution, founded over 120 years ago, has a mission focused on historic preservation, education, and patriotism.

Attorney Cunningham has been a member of the Connecticut bar for over 25 years. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University in 1986 and a Master’s degree from Trinity College in 1991, before graduating from the University of Connecticut School of Law with her Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 1995, where she also received the American Jurisprudence Award for Excellence in Administrative Law. Since joining the firm in 1995, Attorney Cunningham has litigated tort claims involving construction accidents, motor vehicle accidents, playground injuries, premises liability and medical malpractice. She has successfully defended numerous employment claims brought in both the Superior Court and before the Commission on Human Rights & Opportunities. A member of the Appellate Practice Group, Attorney Cunningham has also researched and drafted numerous appellate motions and briefs. Attorney Cunningham has received a BV rating from Martindale-Hubbell (High to Very High legal ability rating and Very High general ethical standards rating). She is a member of the Hartford County and Connecticut Bar Associates, as well as a member of the Connecticut Association of Municipal Attorneys (CAMA).

Attorney Cunningham received defendant’s verdicts in March 2019 in a contract claim against an insurance carrier brought by its insured’s assignee with regard to the repair of property damage to the insured’s vehicle; in June 2019 in a claim against the vehicle owner in a motor vehicle accident case; and in September 2021, in an employment claim against a business owner whom plaintiff sought to hold legally liable for the alleged conduct of a supervisor. Attorney Cunningham has also obtained judgments on behalf of clients by way of successfully briefing and arguing motions for summary judgment.

In her community, Attorney Cunningham volunteers with CASA of Southern Connecticut, an organization of court-appointed special advocates working with children in the Connecticut foster care system. She is also a licensed real estate salesperson (License No. RES.0828118) with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties.
