Attorney Ryan has lived in Connecticut most of her life. She grew up in New Fairfield, and has lived in Cheshire, New Haven, Durham, and Wethersfield, where she currently resides.
Attorney Mary B. Ryan has been engaged in the practice of law in Connecticut for over forty years. After graduating from law school, she held a one-year judicial clerkship position serving the judges of the Connecticut Superior Court. Ms. Ryan then joined a general practice law firm where she handled a variety of matters and transactions for individuals and businesses, including estate planning and administration, conservatorships, real estate transactions, collections, mechanic’s liens, and personal injury cases. For sixteen years, Attorney Ryan served as the first in-house general counsel for one of her clients, a closely-held business in the construction industry. As general counsel, she was an advisor to senior management and developed numerous programs and policies and implemented safety and administrative changes. Later, she joined the construction division of a Hartford area law firm primarily representing subcontractors and suppliers in contract review, mechanic’s liens, pre-litigation dispute resolution, and as litigation second chair. In late 2021, Attorney Ryan joined Jackson O’Keefe where she focuses on motion practice and non-standard discovery.
