MUNICIPAL LAW: Appellate Court holds swim coach immune from negligence claims for after-school activity

During a warm-up drill after school one team member dove into a pool, landing on the minor plaintiff.  The Appellate Court holds that the claim is barred by governmental immunity, and that no exception applied because participation in the extra-curricular activity was voluntary.
